Management Accountant - North Shore based

We are seeking the services of a Management Accountant to join our finance team and make a real contribution to our mental health and addictions NGO.

We provide residential, community, peer, and housing support together with assisted employment services from fourteen budget centres across six locations. Finally, the time has arrived to recruit a dedicated Management Accountant to provide timely, pertinent and clear information with astute commentary to Service Managers and Executives of differing financial abilities and interests. In fact, to be honest, it's probably slightly overdue…

The role will be for 24 hours a week with significant flexibility over the specific make up of those hours. Knowledge of QuickBooks would be an advantage as would an accounting qualification and exposure to the not-for-profit sector; previous management accounting experience, advanced use of Microsoft Office Software, excellent communication skills and the abilities to display flexibility, initiative and team ethic are prerequisites.

Key aspects of this Glenfield Head Office based position include:

• Input into the design of meaningful management information.
• Monthly production and timely delivery of such.
• Written and verbal commentary, sprinkled with patience and empathy, to Service Managers and Senior Executives on the results, trends, warnings and opportunities contained within.
• Ongoing dedication to promote efficiencies and improved financial acumen throughout the whole organization.
• Involvement and assistance with the budgetary and year-end cycle.
• Ad hoc projects and cover as required.
